Osram LED street light is installed on the main road of Jingjiang, Jiangsu Province

OSRAM OptoSemiconductors announced that a main street in Jingjiang, Jiangsu Province, China has installed street lights using OSRAM Golden DRAGONLED.

The lighting project was constructed by JiangsuHuaJingPhotoelectronics, replacing the traditional 250WHID streetlight with a 180W LED prototype street light. Jiangsu Huajing said after testing that the GoldenDRAGONLED street light can reduce power consumption by 37% and improve night visibility.

The newly installed 14盏8m GoldenDRAGONLED street light in Fuyang Road, Jingjiang City is a pilot project of Jiangsu Huajing Optoelectronic Technology in Jingjiang City. At present, about 8,000 different types of street lamps are installed in Jingjiang City and the development zone. At present, the Ministry of Science and Technology of China is vigorously promoting the use of energy-saving LED products to replace the traditional incandescent light source, and set a goal of achieving energy saving of 26 billion yuan by 2015.

To successfully transfer the city's new LED streetlights to Jingjiang City, the government and local communities need to work together, and Jiangsu Huajing is working closely with all parties.

According to Osram, GoldenDRAGONLED offers excellent performance and a service life of up to 50,000 hours, providing excellent brightness regardless of the color. Street lighting with LEDs reduces maintenance costs due to longer maintenance intervals. Moreover, this LED can freely adjust the brightness according to the ambient light through the sensor, which will further reduce power consumption.
