Since this is an emerging high-tech industry, LED products do not have a unified standard in the country and the world. LED products with different brightness and brightness, but due to the lack of uniform technical parameters, no one can distinguish between good and bad. Frequently, there are different prices, high quality and high price.
At the special consultation meeting on “Promoting the Development of Photovoltaic Industry”, everyone is most concerned about the issue of semiconductor lighting inspection platform. If Xiamen has its own "Semiconductor Lighting Inspection and Certification Center", it can not only solve many problems in the development and application of LED products. If semiconductor lighting technology is widely used in white light general lighting, decorative lighting, etc., it is equivalent to saving two to three Three Gorges dams each year.
As far as Xiamen is concerned, at present, the application of LED, in addition to the familiar nightscape project, all the traffic lights in the city have also been modified with LED light source. When an intersection traffic light is replaced with an LED light source, it can save about 10,000 kWh a year. The city's traffic lights are replaced by LED light sources, which can save 2.6 million kWh of electricity a year. In addition, solar LED street lights have also been promoted in some scenic spots, traffic secondary roads and new rural construction in Xiamen.
