Beijing wants to promote LED light source in shopping mall hotels

It seems that LED bulbs have not yet formed a popular sales channel in Beijing.

Experts believe that: LED lighting industry chain has matured, supporting the industry chain is more and more smooth, LED lighting costs will drop substantially, starting from this year, LED general lighting market will become the LED industry development engine.

Zhang Xiaofei introduced that in 2012 LED indoor general lighting and outdoor functional lighting will become the biggest driving force for the development of the LED industry, and the home general lighting market will also increase with the degree of acceptance of LED lighting. By 2015, LED indoor general lighting market will have an average annual growth rate of more than 50%, LED lighting market penetration rate will reach 20%, that is, 20% of consumer lighting will use LED as a light source.

In April this year, the Beijing Municipal Development and Reform Commission formally issued the “Beijing Action Plan for Phase-out of Incandescent Lighting (2011-2015)”, stating clearly that by 2015, the city will stop importing and selling incandescent lamps of 15 watts or more, public institutions and hotels. Commercialized units such as hotels, shopping malls, commercial office buildings, and industrial enterprises stopped using incandescent lamps, widely used energy-saving light sources and high-efficiency lamps, and basically established a recycling system for waste light sources, and continued to use the national subsidy policy for efficient lighting product promotion, for large-scale user governments. 30% of subsidy funds, users self-raised 70%.

From 2011 to 2012, Beijing applied LED lighting products to replace existing traditional lighting sources in underground channels. In the underground lighting of government offices and other indoor lighting areas, LED downlights and LED spotlights were used as demonstration applications. From 2013 to 2015, we will expand the scope of promotion, and gradually promote LED light sources in other public institutions, property communities, and shopping malls, hotels, restaurants, and industrial companies in the city.
