Combine the internal structure, revitalize old assets

The first “second factory” built by domestic automobile manufacturers—Dongfeng Nissan’s Xiangfan factory is the typical representative of the old assets. It was originally one of the Dongfeng commercial vehicle bases. Since 2000, the Xiangfan plant has been involved in the assembly of the Blue Jays generation of the Aeolus (former predecessor of Dongfeng Nissan) and the production of the Blue Jays II. In 2003, Dongfeng Nissan established the Dongfeng Nissan Xiangfan Plant on the basis of the original Xiangfan Base after the full-scale joint venture. The total investment of the entire Xiangfan Plant was 600 million yuan.

Expand production capacity and plan for greater development

In recent years, the rapid development of the Tianjin FAW Toyota, Guangzhou Honda and Beijing Hyundai's second plant, is a typical representative of the expansion of production capacity and plot greater development.

Tianjin FAW Toyota's new plant covers an area of ​​400,000 square meters and has an annual production capacity of 200,000 popular cars. The completion of the factory was accompanied by Corolla's off-line ceremony, which shows the strength and status of the new factory.

Guangzhou Honda also made great efforts on its second plant. The first phase of the plant is invested 2.2 billion yuan, covers an area of ​​1 million square meters, with stamping, welding, painting, injection molding, assembly, vehicle inspection and other processes, starting an annual scale of 120,000, the factory to implement flexible production The current production model is the Accord sedan. According to Fu Shoujie, deputy general manager of Guangzhou Honda, the second plant can produce a full range of models. With the completion of the second factory, the production capacity of Guangzhou Honda has reached 360,000 from the original 240,000, which has plagued Guangben's many years of undercapacity.

Beijing Hyundai began preparing for the construction of the second factory several years ago. The Beijing Hyundai Plant, which has invested more than 10 billion RMB and covers an area of ​​1.15 million square meters, has now entered the final stage of trial operation. The first stage of production will reach an annual production capacity of 200,000 units, and the second stage will achieve 300,000 units of annual production capacity. At the same time as production capacity is increased, the second factory with world-class production indicators will further increase production efficiency, reduce production costs, and increase the comprehensive competitiveness of modern products in Beijing. After completion, Beijing Hyundai Second Plant will have a flexible production line that will produce 3-5 models at the same time. Beijing Hyundai's new HDC and new SONATA Yuxiang will start production at the second plant.

Adjusting the layout and strategic shift

As Changan Ford Mazda’s Nanjing plant was completed and put into operation in September 2007, Ford’s “Yangtze River Strategy” was formally formed. Ford has now completed the strategic deployment along the Yangtze River, echoing the front and back, and breaking through the middle. Ford China headquarters moved from Beijing to Shanghai, near the Nanjing production base, and echoed with the Chongqing production base located on the upper reaches of the Yangtze River. At present, Ford has three production bases in Chongqing, Nanchang, and Nanjing, helping to cover the market from northeast to southwest, from northwest to coastal markets, and realize its “middle break” layout.
