In the first case, the light source of the street lamp is damaged.

When street lights leave the factory, they are actually inspected for various functions, and only qualified products will be shipped out of the warehouse. However, the light source may be damaged due to bumps and vibrations during transportation. Or after the street lamp has been used for 1-2 years, the light source has reached the end of its service life and is broken. If these two conditions are detected, it is enough to directly replace the light source, which is very simple.

In the second case, the solar panel is damaged.

The solar panel is not connected to any load in the sun, and do not connect to the controller. Pull out the wire of the solar panel directly and connect it to a multimeter to test its voltage. Because your system is a 12V system, the voltage of the solar panel must be normal under normal conditions. It will show that it is higher than 12V. Domestic panels in this system generally use solar panels with a working voltage of 18V, so its open circuit voltage will be above 18V (experience should be around 18-21V).

When the solar street light system cannot work or the working hours are not enough, we only need to replace the solar panels. Another situation is that the positive and negative poles of the solar panel are reversed, which directly shows that the solar street light system will only light up once after installation, and the solar street light will never light up again when the battery runs out. This problem is easily solved by exchanging the positive and negative poles of the solar panel.

In the third case, the controller is set incorrectly

The solar street light system does not work properly, the LED lights are sometimes on and sometimes not on, and the time for the lights is not enough, they are not on during the day or at night, or they are always on. In this case, you only need to reset the controller and replace the controller directly. If you really don`t know how to operate it, you can read the manual of the controller, or call the manufacturer to ask for off-site assistance. Good manufacturers will provide after-sales services to customers. You can still call for guidance on this small problem.

In addition, there may be some minor problems, such as reverse connection of the positive and negative poles of the battery, poor contact, expired service life, battery damage, etc., which make the battery unable to work normally and the voltage is too low. As a result, the solar street light system cannot work normally, the LED lights are not on, the time of being on is not enough, the brightness is not enough, and sometimes they are on and sometimes they are not on. At this time, we need to reconnect the battery, replace the battery, replace the terminal of the battery, repair the battery or directly replace the battery.

The fourth case, line aging or line disconnection

Due to the aging of the circuit, the solar street light system cannot work normally, and the LED will not light up or flicker. Check the line at this time. If the line is disconnected and aging, you need to replace the wire.
